Salim Solaiman , a Zoologist, having B.Sc (honors) & Masters from University of Chittagong, much later while working done Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Bangladesh Institute of Management. On the course of career journey went through numerous Executive Development Programs in different countries covering different facets of Business that includes Executive Courses of University of Warwick , INSEAD, Harvard Business School , Babson College of Executive Education etc. to mention a few.
After completing Post Graduation in biological science Salim started his career as Medical Representative at Novartis (previously Ciba- Geigy) in late 80s. Over his career journey he was enriched with experiences working in different capacity in different functions like Sales, Marketing, Strategic Planning, BD&L. KAM to Heading Country Operation in the same company in different countries i.e. Bangladesh , Singapore , Saudi Arabia , Sri Lanka & Maldives then back to Bangladesh again as Country Head.
Exposure to multiple countries opened up a unique opportunity for him to learn about socio-economic as well as cultural diversities of the poorest to richest countries of the planet. Intricacies of dynamics of most structured market to most haphazard one in terms channels, regulations , practices and compliance made him well aware about impacts of those in day to day business. Those ex-country exposures enabled him to observe how overall psyche of people in countries being shaped up by factors like cultural heritage, historical roots, economic affluence, political systems etc.
Passionate about Marketing, Marketing Communication, Strategic Planning above all People, while working in different geographies, Salim Solaiman always has been upholding the joy & pride to be a Bangali.
