Mr. Pranesh Ranjan Sutradhar is a civil servant (Additional Secretary to the Govt.) holding the post of Chief Controller, Import & Export, with the responsibility of issuing IRC, ERC, IP, CP and related activities for importers, exporters, indentors & foreign investors. Earlier he was the Additional Secretary in charge of Import & Internal Trade WEing (IIT wing) of Ministry of Commerce for more than two years. He served at that ministry as Joint Secretary for one year. He was directly involved with formulating Gold Policy and Import Policy Order during his tenure at the ministry.

He was graduated from Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensing, securing 1^st position both at honors & masters. Along with faculty subjects he studied Statistics & Economics well.

Securing 3^rd position in the Special BCS,1985 (6^th BCS) examination he joined the post of Scientific Officer in 1987. After that, by competing 7^th BCS exam., he joined BCS(Admin.) cadre in 1988 and owned the responsibilities of Assistant Commissioner, Senior Assistant Commissioner, Upazila Magistracy, General Certificate Officer, Land Acquisition Officer, Charge Officer of Settlement directorate, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer (Zila Parishad), Director (Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha, Ministry of Child & Woman Affairs) and Secretary (Hindu Religious Welfare Trust, Ministry of Religious Affairs).

He is one of the members of Resource Person Pool under Ministry of Public Administration. He is serving now as Chief Controller, Imports & Exports for about six months.

He visited Singapore, Italy, Thailand, Vietnam and China for training purposes and Canada for official purpose.
