Dr. Md Mahbub Alam

Dr. Mahbub Alam has over twenty five (25) years of professional and academic experiences. At present, he is working as a Consultant (NATP 2), The World Bank. Prior this he was the Supply Chain Advisor of an American organization, CNFA in Bangladesh. He also served at different renowned organizations including the Word Bank, USAID/US Mission, BRAC, DFID and Youngone Corporation etc.

Apart from his professional activities, Dr. Alam also served as faculty member at different public and private universities in Bangladesh. He also assisted some of those universities for developing course curricula for offering MBA, major in Supply Chain Management. Dr. Alam also taught Supply Chain Management in different public and private professional institutes.

His areas of specialization are including Supply Chain Management, SME Development, Agribusiness Supply Chain, Marketing Channel Management, Marketing & Branding, Project Management, Inventory Management, International Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Training of Trainers (TOT) programs etc. Dr. Alam obtained his MBA from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. He also holds an MSc in Economics from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a certified supply chain professional, accredited by ITC/UNCTAD/WTO, Geneva, Switzerland.

Mr Alam widely travelled at home and abroad including USA, UK, Australia, France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, UAE, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, Nepal, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka etc.He has also done extensive research in Supply Chain Management.
