
Ahmed Wasif Reza (Ph.D., M.Eng.Sc., B.Sc. Engg. (Hons.), CEng (UK)) is the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering and a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at East West University (EWU), Bangladesh. He also serves as the Additional Director, Quality Assurance, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at EWU. Previously, he held leadership roles as Chairperson and Acting Chairperson of the Department of CSE, as well as the Chair of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee. His contributions to student engagement include serving as the Moderator of the EWU Robotics Club and Advisor of the IEEE Computer Society, Student Branch Chapter, EWU. Additionally, he was the Professional Activity Coordinator for the IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter in 2023. Before joining EWU, Professor Reza spent nearly eight years at the University of Malaya, Malaysia, a globally recognized institution ranked within the top 60 in the QS World Rankings. His last position there was Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor). He is currently the Visiting Fellow, Centre for Research in Industry 4.0 (CRI4.0), Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, Malaysia. Besides, he is also the Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Information Technology, Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST), Virginia, USA. He is the Focal Person of Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) Program in Software Analytics Research (SOAR), University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
