Closing Ceremony of the Training Program on "Rules & Procedures of VAT & Income Tax"

A Training Program on “Rules & Procedures of VAT & Income Tax” was organized by DCCI Business Institute (DBI) on 07-08 July, 2017 in it’s premises. Nineteen (19) Business Professionals nominated by different prominent organizations were participated in the Training. Md. Abdul Kafi, Former Commissioner, LTU, VAT, NBR and  Md. Iqbal Hossain, ACA, ACMA, Finance Controller & Group Head of Compliance, Rangs Group conducted the training as resource person. According to the participants feedback this training course has broadened their mental horizon and made them conversant with very important issues on VAT & Income Tax.

Closing and certificate-awarding ceremony of the said program was held on 8th July 2017 at DBI premises.  A H M Rezaul Kabir, Secretary General, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) graced the program as Chief Guest.  Md. Joynal Abdin, Executive Director, DCCI Business Institute (DBI) chaired the session. He urged the participants to be the brand ambassador of DBI at respective organization and nominate their relevant colleagues in different training/workshop organized by DBI.  The Chief Guest emphasized on Tax and VAT related knowledge of a businessman to run his organization transparently. He also advised the participants to practice and share their knowledge among the fellow colleagues. He was thankful to the authorities nominated officials at the training program organized by DBI. The Secretary General expressed his expectations to get similar cooperation from the participating organization in future too. DCCI Business Institute (DBI) Inaugurates International Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma Courses on Supply Chain Management

An Inaugural Ceremony of International Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma Courses on Modular Learning System in Supply Chain Management (MLS-SCM(P)) was held at DCCI Auditorium, 65-66 Motijheel C/A, Dhaka-1000 on July 14, 2017. Mr. Hossain A Sikder, Vice President, DCCI was present as the Chief Guest along with Mr. A H M Rezaul Kabir, Secretary General, DCCI as the Special Guest. There were ninety six participants, including the trainers and other distinguished guests.    

Md. Joynal Abdin, Executive Director, DBI informed the audience that the courses on International Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma in “Modular Learning System in Supply Chain Management (MLS-SCM(P))”, have been conducting by DBI in cooperation with International Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva since 2004. He highlighted the  importance of effective supply chain management for any business organization to become competitive both at home and abroad. All the 18 modules of the course deal with the management of the whole supply chain of a business starting from procurement of raw materials and other inputs up to Customer Relationship Management. These Modules have been developed by reputed consultants of ITC for capacity building of developing and least developed countries around the world to become competitive and face challenges of globalization. He mentioned that this course is not only beneficial for the company for improving its image, efficiency, competitiveness, profitability and growth by reducing cost of purchasing and lead time, but also for professionals for their career development. These courses are equally important for the new entrepreneurs and also enhances the employability of the job seekers.

Mr. A H M Rezaul Kabir, Secretary General, DCCI spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of the course and its applicability. He also emphasized on the ethical and social responsibility of the participants. He thanked the participants for rightly choosing the course and wished success of the program.

Chief Guest Mr. Hossain A Sikder stated that Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) is one of the active Chambers of Bangladesh. Apart from providing traditional services to its members, it has been undertaking multifarious activities for private sector development of the country and accelerating economic growth. In order to meet the growing demand for training services of the business community, DCCI established DCCI Business Institute (DBI) in 1991 as training center and updated as DBI in 1999. It is conducting various need-based training courses to make its members and the business community more efficient, trustworthy and competitive globally. He congratulated and thanked the participants and the respective organizations for choosing this important MLS-SCM(P) course of DBI and wished them all success. Then he officially declared inauguration of the 22nd Batch of Certificate, 21st Batch of Advanced Certificate and 20th Batch of Diploma MLS-SCM courses.

A Training Program on “Development of Managerial Leadership Skills” was organized by DCCI Business Institute (DBI) on 14-15 July, 2017 in it’s premises. Sixteen (16) Business Professionals nominated by different prominent organizations were participated in the Training. Md. Moshiur Rahman, Head of HR, Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and  Mohammad Arif Anwar, Lead Specialist, Grameenphone Ltd. conducted the training as Resource Person. According to the participants feedback this training course has broadened their mental horizon and made them conversant with very important issues on Leadership Skills.

Closing and certificate-awarding ceremony of the said program was held on 15th July 2017 at DBI premises.  Hossain A. Sikder, Vice President, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) graced the program as Chief Guest and shared his life story as a business leader. He emphasized on honesty, sincerity and dedication to be a successful business leader.

A Training Program on “Logistics, Inventory and Store Management” was organized by DCCI Business Institute (DBI) on 21-22 July, 2017 in it’s premises. Fifteen (15) Business Professionals nominated by different prominent organizations were participated in the Training. Iqbal Anwarul Islam, Manager, Procurement, Avery Dennison Bangladesh and  Md. Rashed Ali, CEO, Doyal Enterprise conducted the training as Resource Person. According to the participants feedback this training course has broadened their mental horizon and made them conversant with very important issues on Logistics, Inventory and Store Management.

Closing and certificate-awarding ceremony of the said program was held on 22 July, 2017 at DBI premises.  Kamrul Islam, FCA, Senior Vice President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) graced the program as Chief Guest and shared his life story as a business leader. He emphasized on time management, system, sincerity and dedication to be a successful business leader. He explained how Japanese automobile companies captured US market by offering low cost but high quality cars. He has suggested the participants to adopt available low cost technologies & applications to improve performance of respective inventory, logistics & store management team.
