International Trade: A Dynamic Path to Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment

International trade is a popular and effective avenue for self-employment and entrepreneurship. It stands as one of the most dynamic business activities in today’s global business ecosystem.

International trade primarily consists of two major components: import and export. Key operational areas within this domain include LC (Letter of Credit) opening, bill of entry, bill of lading, insurance, freight forwarding, customs clearing, transportation, logistics, and other related domestic and international procedures and documentation.

DCCI Business Institute (DBI) started the 21st batch of the six-month Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in International Trade (Export & Import) Management, in collaboration with American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) on July 18, 2025 to enhance and upgrade the skills of entrepreneurs and professionals involved in import and export functions within their respective organizations.
