A Workshop on “Shipping Procedures for Export & Import & Customs Formalities” was organized by DCCI Business Institute (DBI) on 13-14 October, 2017 in it’s premises. Ten (10) Business Professionals nominated by different prominent organizations were participated in the Workshop. Md. Arif Khan, CEO and Chief Consultant, (Commercial Supply Chain and Corporate), FMS Group, Sulivan Consulting & Learning Services conducted the training as Resource Person. According to the participants feedback this workshop has broadened their mental horizon and made them conversant with very important issues on LC procedures.  

Closing and Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the said program was held on 14 October, 2017 at DBI premises. M. Abu Hurairah, Former Vice President & Director, DCCI graced the program as Chief Guest and shared his life story as an importer & exporter. He stated that Shipping Procedures is an indispensable document in international business. Considering competitiveness in global market, main activities of business houses are procurement, marketing and knowing domestic and international procedures for export and Import. He also pointed out that shipping documents including Bill of Lading, Packing List etc. are also very important document for export.   So, skilled, efficient, knowledgeable and trained manpower is a must for success in international trade.

Md. Joynal Abdin, Executive Director of DCCI Business Institute (DBI) offered the vote of thanks on this occasion. He also advised the participants to practice and share their knowledge among the fellow colleagues. He was thankful to the respective authorities for nominating officials at the training program organized by DBI.
