Ms. Sharifa Khan, Secretary, Economic Relations  Division, Ministry of Finance. She was the Member (Secretary), Industry and Energy Division, Planning Commission, Government of The People Republic of Bangladesh. Prior this, she Worked as Additional Secretary (FTA) and Additional Secretary (Export), Ministry of Commerce; Commercial Counsellor, Bangladesh High Commission, London, UK, Director and Deputy Director, WTO Cell, Ministry of Commerce, WTO Intern in Geneva, Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Bangladesh, Deputy Specialist, Project Impact Monitoring and Co-Managing Editor, Agrobased Industries and Technology Development Project, International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), Faculty Member and Assistant Director (Program and Planning), Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC), Savar, Dhaka, Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Bangladesh, Policy Interpretation Internee, WINROCK International, Dhaka. She has thirty years’ experience in the Ministries, Government Department, International Organizations and High Commission. Good command in Development Economics, International Trade, Agribusiness and project impact monitoring and Project Monitoring. Gained practical experience in multilateral, regional and bilateral trade negotiations and policy formulation. Acquired specialized skills in translations. Work as part-time Faculty member for Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM), Bangladesh Institute of Chartered Secretaries and PGD Course of DCCI Business Institute (DBI). She Completed Diploma and Masters Degrees from Centre for Development Studies, Australian National University, Australia in 1995, Completed Advanced Course in Economics and Quantitative Techniques. Completed nine months course from Bangladesh Institute for Development Studies (BIDS) in 1990, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Completed BSS (Honours) and Masters degrees in Economics from Dhaka University. She obtained Begum Rokeya Gold Medal in 1988 from Begum Rokeya Trusty Board of Dhaka University as the best student of the year of Rokeya Hall.
